I have just updated from v2.2 to v2.3.3512. I put some mp4 in my album. Silverlight launches as a windows within the page and I can see it loading the mp4 file. But after it loads to 99%, it just stopped and the play button is greyed out.

I had no trouble playing WMV files on the album. Is there something I am missing?

Appreciate any thoughts, insight and help.

Many thanks.

Open galleryserverpro.config and make sure the silverlightFileTypes is configured like this:

Code:
silverlightFileTypes=".mp3,.wma,.wmv,.asf,.asx,.mp4,.m4a"

There is an issue where the upgrade wizard imports the settings from your 2.2 version of gsp.config, and that version does not have .mp4 listed in the silverlightFileTypes settings.

Thanks for the quick response. I amended the silverlightFiltTypes to include .mp4 and .m4a as you suggested but mp4 videos (H.264) still won't play on the albums......

Hmm. Seems like the next step is to see if they play on the demo site. Hopefully you can find one that is less than 5 MB.

Yes, but can you upload *yours* to the demo site?

Well, the only thing I can think of is to verify they are really H.264 encoded. I have seen some files with the .mp4 extension that are not.

Are you able to post a video file somewhere I can download? I will take a look at it and see if I can get it working on my system.
