Would like to make a request that I think adds to one of the previous requests about users have additional administrative capabilities...

Would like to be able to allow additional admin surrounding watermarking / download restrictions etc at the album level.

Some Albums have pictures that I don't mind if anyone wants to download the pictures, and don't have a need to watermark them, however then there are other albums, that I want to have publicly visible, but I want to apply a watermark and or restrict those pictures from being downloaded.

Right now it appears to be more of an all or nothing and would be useful especially if any ability to have shopping carts is added in a future version.

Thanks

You can specify some albums to get a watermark and not others by getting creative with roles and their "do not show watermark" permission. For example, when you are logged on as the demo user on the demo site, you do not get watermarks on the Public Playground album but you do get them on the Photos album.

Will that help?

My thoughts were that there would not be a need for a user to logon. It is mostly anonymous browsing with multiple albums. Some Albums would need the Watermark and download protection, while others not.
I don't want to enforce a user to logon in order to view or enforce protection. Certainly having the ability to relax some of the restrictions for specific users would also be good to have.

Assuming it was possible to find a creative way to work with accounts, would that also enforce the no downloads on specific albums while allow downloads on others ?

Thanks

I believe the rule I put in place is that if the user has permission to view the objects in an album, they can download them as well, unless an admin globally turned off downloading. So, as you noticed, there is not a lot of flexibility for watermarking / downloading for anonymous users. Sounds like a feature enhancement...
