Hi.

First of thanks for what seems to be a great app.

I'm trying to install this on my SBS2008 server and the installation went fine just with a few problem on which i found the solution in this forum..

But now i'm stuck..

I am trying to synchronize the album but it keeps stopping in the same folder, i also had the problem with the previous folder but after adding modify permision to the iisusr it worked, but it wont work on this folder, i have also tried to add full control to everyone without any success.

Have you tried giving all possible permissions to the IIS process identity? Try this: give the Everyone group full permission to your media objects directory. That should make the directory wide open to every user. If that works, you can work backwards to find the minimum permissions needed.

By default the IIS 7 pool runs under the Network Service identity. Take a look at the effective permissions for this user (or whoever you are running the app pool under) on the file that is failing. Make sure it has modify permission.

It is possible there is a deny permission or something else that your changes aren't overwriting. When you assign permission, make sure you select the option "Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object" (in the advanced section of the file permission dialog box).

It is hard to imagine any issue other than a security one causing the problem.

Hmm there is some thing weird..

I looked at the aplication pool and saw that it used NETWORK SERVICE. so i added it to the security settings, then i could sync the folder and then the same error again on the next folder.
I then added Anonymous Logon with full permission, again same error. tried to sync again with no changes and the it came all the way. i then tried to remove the anonymous logon and it still worked..
But now i just have the problem that the gallery wont show the images in the one folder? i have tried to sync again with the same result

It says it can't find the file C:\inetpub\GalleryServerPro\gs\mediaobjects\Anno 2001\2001_03_18 En lille tilfældig fest\zThumb_PICT0029.jpeg

Does it exist? Can you paste the path in Windows Explorer and see it?

Yes the files is there..
Its the whole folder which doesnt work. Is there anyway to reset it, so it wil make a full sync of that folder?
I have tried to delete the thumbs files and sync also with the overwrite options enabled.

Maybe there is a strange character in the directory name that is messing things up. Try renaming the directory to something similar to another directory that works. Remove any spaces.

Deleting the thumbnails and checking the overwrite boxes is the only way to reset things.

okay got it to work..

I had to delete the zthumb and zopt files in the mediaobjects folder and then synchronize it again but without the overwrite options. otherwise it wouldnt work..
