Mjello there,
I wondering whether, in the admin panel (You know "Site admin" in the "Action menu"), it is possible to remove the menu, so if I go to the address "gallery.aspx?g=admin_manageroles" I would just see the manageroles page, and not the menu to the left..

I would like to do this, becouse I will use my own menu, if possible?

Hope you can see what I mean.
Best Regards,
Jeppe Richardt

You'll have to dig into the source code to do it, but it shouldn't be too hard if you are a programmer. All the admin pages use the same base page: AdminPage. Comment out the code in the function AdminPage_BeforeHeaderControlsAdded and see how that works.

Aha.. I found something i the gs/controls/admin/admimenu.ascx :)

Just out of curiosity, that big "Powered by" image, is that voluntary?
Or perhaps some text could do it? :)

You can do whatever you want to the footer, including completely removing it if you want.

That being said, we all benefit as GSP becomes more popular, so it is helpful to provide some kind of link to www.galleryserverpro.com in the gallery to increase the rank to search engines. If it is a private gallery (e.g. on an intranet) then I suppose it doesn't matter.

That's understandable..
But which one is the footer page, hmm..

Is it possible to link to a specific page?
If i got this one, and I want it to link directly to the admin manage roles page, can that be done easy?
<gsp:Gallery ID="gallery1" runat="server" ShowLogin="False" ShowSearch="True" Visible="True" />

Or perhaps the best solution is to link in a iframe?

Don't know what you mean. All the admin pages are accessible via unique URL's, so you can put a hyperlink anywhere, even in your browser's bookmarks.

As to the footer, I don't provide free support on how to get rid of it - hope you understand.

I mean, if I got a page.. And on that page i want to have the "manage roles" page

So I want to within my page have manage roles page..
The idea was then to in a accordion panel split up, and have a accordionpane with manage roles and a accordionpane with manage users, as an example..

And by the way, I'm not asking to remove it, but just adjust it, but I fully understand your point ;)

OK, I understand. An iframe is one way to do it, and probably the easiest. But you can also directly reference the user controls for each of those functions. Look for manageusers.ascx and manageroles.ascx at gs\pages\admin\.

Hello again,
- Sorry the long pause..

I was wondering, when you were saying "As to the footer, I don't provide free support on how to get rid of it", do you then mean, you will not help at all to make it more suitable?
I'm not going to"just take", but though I have to make it fit in, if I should be able to use it.

Anyway I understand and respect your opinion, just wanna make sure we're all clear :)

If you plan to keep the GSP logo and link, then I am happy to offer help on how to edit it.
