I sometimes have over 400 photos in a single album.

Awesome features would be:

Fill the page with thumbnails and have next and previous buttons. The number of thumbnails per page would be automatically limited by the resolution of the browser being used, i.e. 1024x768.

this would eliminate time out errors when trying to load 300+ thumbnails at the same time.

If properly implemented it would also eliminate the need to scroll up and down the web page. very annoying on so many modern websites.


AND/OR

for people who like to scroll or if the above is not possible, Be able to set the number of thumbnails per page.

Is this possible?

This is a good suggestion. It is possible to set the number of thumbnails based on screen resolution, but it requires a bit of sleight of hand. However, it is tricky to calculate how many thumbnails fit on a screen, since the size of the thumbnails is adjustable and may be any combination of portrait/landscape mode. Also, GSP is often inserted into other web sites, so I need to make the calculation based on the gallery area in the web page, not the overall screen resolution.

In the end, I may have to just have a set number of thumbnails per page.
