Hi Roger,

For some reason all of our mp4 movies are not playing in any of the browsers (except iPod, html5?). I've spent 2 days straight trying to figure it out, but I still don't know why. I've even gone as far as to completely uninstall the GSP module and install it fresh.

Same thing happens on another server with a similar installation of DNN and GSP.

They play fine on yet another server with a clean install of DNN 6.1.0 and GSP 2.6.

The only difference I can think of is that the first 2 servers were upgrades from DNN 5.x and GSP 2.5

Can you help? Do you have any ideas?

Here's the address:

Thanks,

One thing I can see is that a piece of the FlowPlayer video player is a different size than I expect. Using Firebug, I noticed that http://calendarinthesky....pt/flowplayer-3.2.7.swf is 184,055 bytes, but the version in the 2.6.0 distribution is 120,221 bytes. My guess is that this difference is related to another thing I noticed, and that is the browser never requests flowplayer.controls-3.2.5.swf.

Grab a fresh copy of flowplayer-3.2.7.swf from one of the current downloads and replace yours. Hopefully that does the trick.

Hi Roger,

I got this problem solved. But this was very odd. The swf files on my server are correct size, but like you said Firebug was reporting the downloaded files to be larger then they should be. After looking at a whole bunch of different things I tried disabling content compression on the server (both dynamic and static) and it started working. For some reason content compression was messing up the swf files.

I'll keep looking to see if I can figure out the reason for this. In the mean time it all works with no compression.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
