Hi all,
I have just used the WPI to install the gallery on my VPS.
The WPI didnt offer me any kind of SQL/DB configuration on install but told me installation was successful.
When I try to run the gallery I get the following error:

Could not load type 'GalleryServerPro.Data.SqlCe.SqlCeRoleProvider

Line 75: <add applicationName="Gallery Server Pro" connectionStringName="SqlServerCeGalleryDb" name="SqlCeRoleProvider" type="GalleryServerPro.Data.SqlCe.SqlCeRoleProvider" />

Can anyone help me please?

The URL is gallery.icts.org.uk

Many thanks in advance

Sorry, I missed your original post.

The bin directory of the app should have GalleryServerPro.Data.SqlCe.dll, but the error message indicates it is missing. Not sure how it could disappear on you, but you can get a new copy from the download page. You'll find it in either the install or upgrade package.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the reply.
Ive just checked the folder and that file seems to be there.
I noticed that during the WPI process I was not prompted for any kind of data source.

That is odd. Let's focus on the source code version, since that gives us more options. In Visual Studio, compile the project TIS.GSP.Data.SqlCe, then look in the bin directory of the Website project. Do you see GalleryServerPro.Data.SqlCe.dll? And when you run the solution (F5), what are the full details of any error message?

Hi.

I had the same problem with the sqlproviders. I could not see the dll's in the bin folder, after I published the files to my folder (using publish from VS). But I copied the two dll's, and then it worked like a charm.
