Your web.config file must be old or from a very old version of GSP. One of your screenshots shows the browser trying to access login.aspx. That file has not existed in any version of GSP for a few years now. Without knowing more about your situation, I don't know what advice to give, but one thing you may need to do is edit web.config to remove the reference to login.aspx.

No current version of GSP uses or specifies a file named login.aspx. Since the screenshot you posted has a reference to that file, there must be something going on that I am not aware of.

You need to find out why the app wants to go to login.aspx. Try searching the app directory for 'login.aspx', especially your web.config file. Or you can try a fresh install of GSP and see if that works.

Did you try searching this forum on the error message? Search for 'dglogin is undefined'. This issue comes up every now and then and usually seems to be some kind of configuration error.

Hi Roger,
I have the exact same issue - when trying to access the Gallery an Authentication window pops up. (If I click Cancel everything works fine, so GSP itself is working except that the Authentication window appears after each click.)

This is a new website with a new installation of GSP (GSP v2.6)

With regards to the file posted by "aangel" I suspect this has something to do with the IIS settings.
My problem is that the website is in a hosted environment and I can't check the IIS settings myself, I have to ask the webhotel to do that for me. The only information about the IIS I have is in the attached file.

Can you please tell me what to check and ask for? We use IIS 7.

Best regards,
Martina

Perhaps Windows Authentication is enabled? A default installation of GSP uses Forms Authentication.

Web.config says <authentication mode="Forms">

But I will check with the web hotel and see if they have some other setting in the IIS which overrides the web.config. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi again,
After more research :-)

Chrome and Safari do not show the login, but they don't show the Menu and Tree controls either.
IE and FF show the login, but if I press Cancel they show the Menu and Tree controls.

Please see the attached Word doc and let me know if you have any ideas.

Clearly something is triggering a Windows Authentication dialog, but nothing in a default installation in GSP would do that. All I can think of to suggest is to install GSP on another system and verify it works correctly, then start comparing settings to your server to try to discover the difference.

That is hard to do in a hosted environment, so you'll have to work with the hosting company to help you out.

Something is not configured correctly on the server. With luck it can be solved by editing web.config. Search the internet on the error message ("Request format is unrecognized for URL unexpectedly ending in '/jsdebug'") and you'll find lots of hits. Apparently this is a common issue.

I found the problem with the authorisation popup :-)

Had to add to web.config:

<webServices>
<protocols>
<add name="HttpGet"></add>
<add name="HttpPost"></add>
</protocols>
</webServices>

Still doesn't show the Menu and TreeView but at least one step further.
