I just upgraded to 2.6 from 2.4.6 and so far everything seems to be working except when I try to Add Object. The Add Object page loads but where I should be seeing the particular upload control I'm seeing the Uploading graphic and nothing else. see attached jpeg.

I'm using Internet Explorer 9 on a Win7 64bit laptop.

My web site is hosted by discountasp on a Windows 2008 server running IIS7.

any thoughts?

I forgot to mention that to upgrade I copied the new files from the zip file to the server. When I browsed to the site the upgrade wizard never ran but the Upgrade.txt file in the App_data folder was deleted. I tried using; (add “?g=upgrade” to the URL if necessary) and the wizard never would start up.

When I run GSP it is branded as version 2.6.

thanks, -phil

I just did a similar upgrade with similar results... from the 2.5 web install to 2.6.

After the upgrade the upload screen immediately crashes the tab in IE8 running on win7x64.

The server is our spare test box running 2008 SP2 /IIS7. (NOT 2008R2)

Prior to the upgrade it worked flawlessly.

Same issue with me upgrade from 2.5 to 2.6. IIS6 SRV 2003 R2. On a XP Machine with IIS5.1 it worked with just copie over the files and it worked flawless. The Production server is back to old Version now.

The pattern seems to be using IE. If you use a tool like IE Developer, can you confirm the Silverlight XAP file is getting downloaded? Can you share an URL so I can investigate?

Note a similar issue in this thread. Maybe a MIME type entry is needed for XAP in IIS?

Hm, did the MIMETypes already and also change the runtimes:'html5,flash,silverlight,browserplus,html4', but no success.
Link is not avalible because Server is at Intranet only.
On my XP Test machine it works without any changes of Mime Types in IIS and the runtimes.
Very strange

UPS......, I use local jquery Files in/gs/scripts/ and I forgot to check the paths in the config, sorry all work as it should. MY FAULT

I discovered the cause of my problem with the Add Objects Upload control not loading. It was the Tracking Protection settings in IE9. When I disabled the entry for, "Your Personalized List" the Add Objects" page loaded correctly. It actually loaded the Silverlight control.

I checked my Personalized List for Tracking Protection and it's full of entries. See attached. I'm not sure exactly which one it was. that'll take more time to troubleshoot.

More Findings....
After disabling Tracking Protection the silverlight control loaded fine but I couldn't upload anything. I had deleted the _Temp folder in App_Data during the 2.6 upgrade. That folder is required by the upload process. Putting that back allowed the uploads to work, for awhile, then it stopped working. Turns out I had reached my Usage Quota on the web server. The user is; Anonymous ASPNet User and it was set for 100 MB. I increased it to 200 MB and the uploads started to work again. The Log file created by GSP on the server and found in the Admin section was a great help in solving these problems.

Thanks, -phil

Interesting about the IE tracking protection. Will have to monitor this...

FYI, the app automatically creates the _Temp folder as needed, so its nonexistence should only cause an issue if there are permission issues preventing the app from creating it.

I just noticed the same thing happens to me when I use my copy of IE on your live test version.

I create an album, click to add content, and I see the "loading..." dialog and boom, IE crashes.

Works fine with Firefox 7.

IE 9 works fine for me. What version are you using?
