Since I was having some problems installing the gallery, I decided to move over to Arvixe. I was not able to get the GalleryServer to install via the control panel.

And when I was installing another app, the app ran through some diagnostics. It said that .NET 3.5 was installed. Do you know if 4.0 .NET framework is installed by default? I emailed them and I am waiting on a reply. When I called them, I told them that I was moving over to use GalleryServerPro.

I just wanted to make sure I am on the right track before getting the license key.

Thank you!
Corey

I believe they have .NET 4 on all their servers but it is not always set as the default framework - you have to explicitly choose it in the control panel.

Thanks - I just emailed them to find out. When I tried to install GSP via the control panel, it never asked for a database so I am not too sure how that is suppose to work just yet but I am installing it from the download page

You are right - once they replied to this one - the install was able to work. I signed into the contorl panel, went into website properties and extensions. I chose 4.0 integrated and then went back to see if I could install it. It worked this time.

The other third party apps asked about creating a database, this one did not though. Is it also using a database through this install?

I just found it - it seems to be using GalleryServerPro_Data.sdf. I'll get that moved over to a database
