Return to gallery | Site admin

An error occurred.

We are sorry, but Gallery Server Pro encountered an error. It has been logged and, if error reporting is enabled, an email describing the problem has been sent to the administrator.

If you are an administrator, you can enable the option on the Site Admin - General page to show detailed information when an error occurs. It can also be enabled by setting showErrorDetails="true" in config/galleryserverpro.config.

Since you can't load the gallery to change the setting via the UI, the key part is this:

"It can also be enabled by setting showErrorDetails="true" in config/galleryserverpro.config"

What part of that are you having trouble with?

Are you getting an error message? Can you provide it?

Note that only jpg files are enabled by default; to enable other file types go to the media object types page. To allow HTML in external content, enable the HTML option on the user settings page.

That error message is pretty self explanatory, and is exactly what I referred to in my previous message. You need to enable HTML on the User Settings page.

As for uploading a file, do a few more experiments to find a pattern. Does it happen with certain browsers? How about large versus small files? What about a small jpg?

If you still have trouble, post the full details of the crypto exception you are getting, especially the call stack (stack trace).

When HTML is enabled (and the desired tags are entered into the list next to the checkbox), that error message shouldn't appear. Restart IIS just to be sure (although it shouldn't be necessary).

If you want, I can take a look at your site and get that feature working for $100. If it turns out to be a bug I'll refund the money.

The crypto exception is nothing to worry about. It is just a robot trying to access the gallery with old links that are no longer valid. For the record, newer versions of GSP do not generate this message.
