Hi Roger,
after solving the HTTP Error 500 with the patch for 2.5 i came across a new Error :-(
Please see the error message below.

##################################
Estimated time left: 12 hours 20 min 44 secs (1710 of 22829 objects synchronized)
Synch rate: 0.5 objects/sec
Status: Synchronization error

Processing: $ - other categories\ESI - Sybase\2005-12-09 + 10 ; ESI Weihnachsfeier in Düsseldorf\Andi's Pics and Movies\IMG_0447.JPG

Error: : Fehler der Synchronize-Servermethode.
HTTP Status: 12002
Stack trace:
##################################

I start the synchronization of all albums direct on the Server with IE9, not via RDP.
Could be the extension of .JPG instead of .jpg a Problem ?

If you need any more Information please let me know.
Sorry for bothering with so many errors but 2.5 seems to work different on my system than 2.4.x.

Thanks

Roger Martin

I have noticed that the status dialog sometimes fails during long synchronizations. I haven't yet figured out the cause, but the important thing to notice is that the sync continues to run on the server. You can prove this to yourself by looking at the processor usage in Task Manager (the w3wp.exe process should be using 50% or more) and noticing that the thumbnail and compressed images continue to be created in the media objects directory.

I recommend using Task Manager to keep an eye on it. When it drops to near zero, the sync has finished (or failed due to IIS restarting, etc).

The bug is only in the browser trying to get status updates from the server, not in the sync itself. While annoying and something I want to fix, it shouldn't be a cause for great concern.
