If anyone has a suggestion on what I might try or look at, it would be appreciated....

I created a second gallery, then attempted to switch to it.
GSP says "You have successfully switched galleries.".
There are no errors generated at the app level or within GSP.
IE detects no script errors, but the gallery link in the header and the gallery specified as current in the drop down remain the same.
I've tried restarting IIS and clearing out browser cache, but still same results.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts anyone has,
Gary

also, once you have joined, I would be happy to private message you, within my site, with the credentials to the SQL DB as well, if for any reason you want to look directly at the tables.

I can confirm the issue but don't know the cause. This is a modified version of GSP used in the Sueetie package. The first thing you should do is contact Dave Burke over at Sueetie to see if he has any idea why that might be happening. I haven't heard of any reports of this issue with my official versions.

One thing I can see is that the site running GSP 2.4.4 but the CSS that is being served is from an older version. Don't know if that's related, but it is clearly a problem.

Roger,
Thanks for your time in taking a gander at this. I just performed one more test on my end and verified that although I'm not certain whether it is the css or not, it is something unique to the most recent release of Sueetie. Hope I didn't take too much of your time with this. Thanks again!

GallleryId="1"
got changed to
GalleryId="1"
In Media\default.aspx in Dave's most recent Sueetie package.
I added the extra "l" back in and gallery switching returned.
Perhaps Dave had thought it was a spelling error?

That is odd, but I bet Dave knows the answer. Certainly, "Galllery" is a spelling error, but it is not one that originated with my code. I am surprised you could run with both spellings - I would have guessed one generates an error as an unknown property.

At any rate, although "GalleryId" is a valid property on the Gallery control in default.aspx, none of my versions of GSP specify it by default. (Fyi, an early blog post about 2.4 *did* mention that it would be required, but that was before I built the Gallery Manager.) I am not sure if Dave is requiring it, but you may find it works find without it.

The general principle is that you use the Gallery Manager to tell GSP which gallery you want, so it is not necessary to specify it at the control level.

Roger,

Forgive me for coming so late to the party on this. Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt on the "gallleryid" issue. Gary's legwork on this cracked the case, confirming that it was nothing in GSP at fault.

I don't want to take any more of your time on this, like Gary already said, but to support Sueetie-specific features outside of GSP we're a bit more stringent on gallery configurations. Each gallery has its on GALLERYNAME.aspx which conforms to the Sueetie Media Gallery Key and each gallery's media are stored in /gs/mediaobjects/GALLERYID/. The GalleryID is specfied on gallery-specific pages (Library.aspx, Vermont.aspx, etc), but not on default.aspx to support administrative functions for switching and customizing specific libraries.

I followed your logic when you announced multiple galleries saying that each gallery needs its own URL. I may be simplifying the issue, but thought this was a very efficient approach to supporting multiple galleries with a single GSP instance. Gary followed-up on the Sueetie Forums with a proposal for a secondary default.aspx to enable Gallery Administration without affect the default gallery being served to users.

Good tip on making sure we're using the most current CSS files. Noted. Keep up the fantastic work.

-Dave
