Can I specify a different directory to upload media objects?

I currently keep all of my media for the GSP @ D:\GalleryServerPro\gs\mediaobjects
I am hoping that I can specify a different directory such as D:\shares\Users\holty\upload for remote uploading.

Is this possible?

GSP uses a single directory to store the media objects. All albums are within that directory, so it is not possible to upload items to a location outside of it.
