How about a lightbox feature that would allow a user to select photos from an album? I would also love to give users ability to flag or rate media.

Thanks!

What do you mean "select photos from an album"?

What do you mean by flagging?

Hi Roger,

I was thinking about a web app to help photo curators and photo competitions. Say you have a contest and you want a curator/judge to pick a few winners. Something like adobe lightroom where you have a group/album of photos and you can "flag" or rate photos, then filter the results based on the flags. Would this be a heavy lift? Thanks for the fast reply!

There is a PHP web app called Stockbox Photo that has some cool features.

You can add photos from a gallery to your "lightbox" to review and purchase. I would love to see this in GSP. I am now up and running with SQL server in my dev environment. Might give this a go. Also, I see a rating in the metadata that says rating 0 of 5. How is this implemented?

Thanks Roger!

The Lightbox feature would rock. Basically it allows you to click on photos you want as you browse through different albums and then download them all at once.

He may want to be able to update the photo rating (from the metadata). I also think this would be helpful.
