seperating media server from main site

We are looking at options for running a separate media server and linking to documents and videos on that server.

Is there any easy way to do this with Gallery Server Pro. I have searched the forum but have not found much, maybe my keywords are not good enough.

So basically we want to have media.domain.com and the any images, videos, documents would be linked by going to media.domain.com/file.ext or whatever the layout might be. I saw that I could right click and copy link location but it gives me a huge url for the image. Would be cool if i could take a video as well and have an embed code.

We'd like to use something like Gallery Server Pro to do this so when people ask us for a certain picture or video or logo on the site, we can just send them directly to the media server to grab it using their AD login.

The media files must be stored at a UNC-accessible location, so you won't be able to specify an URL like media.domain.com for the media objects path. However, if both the web server and file server are on the same internal network, then I believe you can do what you want (I'm not exactly sure I understand your goal).
