Hi,

First of all; thank you for this great application!

Is it possible to implement thumbnails of .swf files? I think it would be possible to grab the first frame, but I am not sure how to implement it. Any ideas?

Best regards

Yes, if anyone has any code for grabbing a frame from a .swf file, I would be glad to include it in a future release. This would be a nice enhancement. If you recommend a 3rd party library, make sure it can be distributed under the GPL license.

I spent a few minutes taking a look at it and even downloaded, installed, and ran the samples. Unfortunately, there are a few issues:

1. It is an ActiveX dll that must be registered in the registry. Most hosting companies won't allow this. Even if they did, I would have to provide an installer to do the registration. No more just copying the files and starting the install wizard.

2. It requires the application to run at full trust since it contains unmanaged code. Most hosting companies do not allow this.

3. The server must have Flash installed.

4. The samples would not work on my Win Server 2008 x64 machine. My guess is that it only works on a 32-bit system.

The good news is that the license allows me to distribute it. :-)
