Roger,

I hate to bother you with this question, but I read the admin guide and quickstart and haven't seen anywhere that I need to run a GSP 2.2 to GSP 2.3 upgrade SQL Server script. I always upgrade via the SDK so I look for an upgrade script somewhere.

One other thing, I was curious how I'm seeing v2.3.3468 as my GSP version. I'm not complaining. I LIKE having the latest version! :-)

Thanks!
Dave

The first time an album is displayed after an application restart, GSP checks the data schema version and runs the SQL upgrade script if necessary. No user intervention required, and the script is embedded in the TIS.GSP.Data.SqlServer dll.

You can execute it manually if you want (probably too late for you now). Just this morning I added a note to the Admin Guide about where to find this SQL script. Look at page 14.

The dll version is automatically incremented each time you compile from the source. You have the same code that is in the compiled 2.3.3456 version.

Thanks for the speedy reply as always.

I didn't experience the auto-update, maybe because it's a second instance. Won't bother you with the details. I ran the 2.1 to 2.3 upgrade script. Got my gs_appError table and everything else I'll need. I'll check on page 14! Thanks for that.

Yeah, I figured that's how the build version was increasing. I've been compiling a lot of GSP code!

Have a great day!

Hmm, I would like to know why it didn't run by itself. Can you check the error log to see if there are any clues?

Oh, never mind. The previous version didn't HAVE an error log. Oh well...

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that your baby had a problem. :-) Will keep you posted. Thx.
