Translation volunteers are welcome to use any tool they wish for translating the .resx files. For your convenience, I am providing a very nice tool named the Zeta Resource Editor. This is a slightly modified version of the one posted at Code Project.

Most users will want the pre-compiled version (ZetaResourceEditor.zip). If you are interested in downloading the source code, that version is posted also. The source code is in Visual Studio 2005 format.

More information for using this tool is in the Translation and Deployment Guide.
File Attachment(s):
ZetaResourceEditor.zip (636kb) downloaded 143 time(s).
ZetaResourceEditor_Source.zip (869kb) downloaded 31 time(s).

Hello Roger,

Thanks for nice modification on that nice tool. But as I have tried the final one (dated: 31.10.2009, version: 2.1.0.28) It is better especially on multiline cells of resx files. So as a translator who is at the near of the end of a translation may I request that you re-compile the final release of the application so that it can show and highlight the comments (Of course if you have enough time to do that and if you don't find this request frustrating).

Thanks in advance.

I checked out the latest changes to the editor and it looks like the author has been pretty active. Unfortunately, he says that the release dated 31.10.2009 requires an "installed license of the DevExpress WinForms components". Since I don't have this, I won't be able to provide a customized version of it. Bummer.

Even if someone provided a license, I don't have the time to integrate my original changes to the latest code base.

Maybe there is a volunteer who would like to take this on as a project? The changes I made were basically to have the editor inspect the date in the comments and highlight those resources where a resource has changed from a previous version.
